The Neverend is the portfolio of Tom Ritchie, a photographer based near the seaside town of Budleigh Salterton, just outside of Exeter on the South Devon coast.

Ever since I was handed a cheap, blue plastic camera at an age too distant to recall I have been fascinated -occasionally infuriated- but always enthralled by the possibilities of photography. When I was placed in front of a computer and introduced to the wonders of Paint, Corel, Netscape Navigator, given a rudimentary grasp of HTML and ushered into the digital world several years later it was pretty clear to me in that photography and digital design go hand-in-hand like beer and a burger bread and butter. I’ve basically been at it ever since, and to this day very little can beat the satisfaction that comes from hitting the shutter-release of a camera.

Granted, there was a slight career wobble upon leaving school during which I attended Cardiff University, learnt that trips with the alumni photographic society aren’t necessarily going to add a whole lot to your portfolio, and earned an MA in Ancient History. However, I soon returned to the South West where I have been working within various fields of digital design, marketing and yes, photography, ever since.

Prints and greetings cards of my images are displayed and sold in several shops and galleries in South Devon, and evidence of my design work is dotted around in all sorts of places, from local high streets, national retail websites and even pubs.

When not behind the lens of a camera, you’ll find me flexing my digital muscle in my day-job – online marketing. I currently work for Exeter-based full service agency RH Partners (previously RH Advertising) where, together with Chris Russell and a massively talented Creative team, we do amazing web-design, development, SEO and PPC work for some equally amazing clients.
